On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 strikes a flock of geese just after takeoff from LaGuardia, losing both engines at only 3,000 feet over densely populated New York City. Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger makes the split-second decision to ditch in the Hudson River, and through his expert airmanship and the crew's coordinated evacuation, all 155 people on board are rescued safely.
